Job Opening: Active Transportation & Environment Planner

MVRPC is accepting resumes for an Active Transportation & Environment Planner. The Active Transportation & Environment Planner is an integral part of the Regional Environment & Economic Development division; developing and coordinating activities associated with bike and pedestrian transportation, air, and water quality planning. The Active Transportation & Environment Planner collects, maintains, and analyzes data related to transportation and land use in a GIS environment. The planner is the lead coordinator of the regional trails system; the nation’s largest paved trail network, https://www.miamivalleytrails.org/. Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission Approves $26.7 Million in Federal Transportation Funds.

The MVRPC Board of Directors recently approved $26.7 million in federal transportation funds for 29 roadway, bikeway/pedestrian, transit, and planning projects that will benefit the Miami Valley Region.  Read full article

MVRPC will hold public participation meetings for the Darke-Preble-Shelby counties 2050 Regional Transportation Plan.

Meetings will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on March 25 in Darke County, March 26 in Shelby County and March 27 in Preble County and a Virtual Meeting on March 26 from 12:00 p.m - 1:00 p.m. Read full article

MVRPC Board of Directors elected the new Executive Committee and ISC Steering Committee for 2024-2025

Elections were held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, following the regular monthly meeting. Members of the committee will serve one term, beginning April 2024 through March 2025. Read full article
